At least 265 dead bodies have been recovered from the crash site of a London-bound passenger jet which crashed into a residential area of India's Ahmedabad city on Friday.

In an update on Friday, Indian Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kanan Desai confirmed that no fewer than 265 bodies had so far been counted. The authorities suggested that approximately 24 people may have died on the ground, with warnings that the death toll could rise as more body parts are being recovered.

Ongoing Rescue Operations
