Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has stated that he can identify only "one or two real men" in the coalition being formed to challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

Igbokwe, a vocal supporter of the current administration, made this claim in a post on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, dismissing the majority of the coalition members as insignificant.

"When I look at the composition of the so-called coalition I see one or two that are real men," Igbokwe wrote. "Others members are unknown, they have nothing to bring to the table, no skill, no energy, no resources, no charisma, no history, no character etc."

Key Opposition Figures in the Coalition

BenriNews reports that the coalition includes several prominent political figures, notably former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi. Also part of the alliance are former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

Interestingly, Igbokwe had previously rated El-Rufai higher than all of President Tinubu's appointees, describing the former Kaduna governor as smarter and more intelligent.

While Igbokwe did not specifically name which coalition members he considers "real men," his comments reflect growing tensions as opposition forces begin to align against the ruling APC ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The coalition represents a significant political development as former rivals put aside their differences to form a united front against President Tinubu's administration.
