The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the last general election in Taraba State, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, has called on Governor Agbu Kefas to utilize the remaining two years of his tenure to correct what he described as "early missteps in governance."

Speaking with journalists on Monday in Jalingo, Bwacha emphasized that the governor still has sufficient time to make meaningful changes before the end of his first four-year term.

"Kefas still has the opportunity to rewrite the wrongs within the next two years. If he is serious, he can amend a lot of things. It is not over yet until it is over," Bwacha stated.

Criticism Over Project Commissioning

The former senator, who represented Taraba South senatorial district in the National Assembly, criticized Governor Kefas for focusing on commissioning remodeled or refurbished projects rather than initiating original developments that could directly benefit the people.

"We want to see your personal projects. Initiate your own projects and stop commissioning remodeled ones," he challenged the governor.

Bwacha clarified that his comments were not meant to condemn but to encourage the governor to listen to public concerns and take appropriate action. He revealed that during his week-long stay in Taraba, he had received predominantly negative feedback about the current administration.

"I have been here for the past one week, and I have never received good reports about Kefas' administration. People I spoke with both in person and over the telephone are not saying positive things about his government," Bwacha disclosed.

Call for Prayer and Support

Despite his criticisms, the former senator urged Tarabans to support the governor through prayers, citing biblical teachings about praying for leaders.

"I pray he will make amends. The Bible admonishes us to pray for our leaders. Let us pray for him so that God will intervene and he can do what the people truly want," he said.

On national politics, Bwacha reaffirmed his alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, commending the president's developmental efforts across the country.

"I am on the same page with President Tinubu's administration," he concluded.
