A lady has reportedly slumped and died while on duty at a hotel located adjacent to a private radio station along NTA road in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
According to sources at the hospital where she was rushed to, the deceased was a staff member of the hotel who had reported for work appearing healthy before the tragic incident occurred.
The exact duration of her employment at the hotel remains unclear, as details about her work history were not disclosed.
Police Response and Investigation
When contacted by BenriNews, Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sunday Abutu, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of death.
"Some of the hotel staff will be brought in for questioning to ascertain the circumstances surrounding her death," SP Abutu explained.
The police spokesman further revealed that an autopsy would be conducted to assist with the investigation and provide more clarity on what led to the woman's sudden collapse and death.
Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased as investigations continue into this unfortunate incident.
