Super Falcons forward Rinsola Babajide has predicted a fierce contest in Tuesday's international friendly against Cameroon's Indomitable Lionesses at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta.

The Nigerian women's national team, under the guidance of coach Justine Madugu, will face their long-standing African rivals in what promises to be an intense encounter between two of the continent's powerhouses.

"Cameroon is our biggest rival, it's going to be fire," Babajide stated ahead of the match. "I will contribute the best I can to the team to help us win. We are staying focused as we don't want any distractions."

The last meeting between these two sides ended in a narrow 1-0 victory for Nigeria in a 2024 Olympic Games qualifier, with Esther Okoronkwo scoring the decisive goal. Babajide believes Jean Baptiste Bisseck's Cameroonian side will once again provide stiff opposition.

This friendly comes as part of the Super Falcons' preparation schedule, with several key players including Rasheedat Ajibade, Ashleigh Alozie, and Babajide herself having already joined the camp.

Coach Madugu has already unveiled his squad for the encounter, while his Cameroonian counterpart Bisseck has also named the players who will represent the Indomitable Lionesses.

The match kicks off today at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena, providing Nigerian football fans an opportunity to see their national women's team in action against one of their strongest continental competitors.
