President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to Bashir Bayo Ojulari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, as he celebrates his 60th birthday.

In a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy, President Tinubu joined family, friends, and associates in celebrating Ojulari, describing him as "an accomplished energy professional whose distinguished career has been defined by transformative and visionary leadership in our country's oil and gas industry."

Ojulari assumed the position of GCEO at NNPC Limited in April 2025, following his role as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Renaissance Africa Energy Company. His extensive experience includes serving as the managing director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) from 2015 to 2021.

The President expressed confidence in Ojulari's ability to further reposition NNPC Limited as a transparent, world-class national energy company capable of ensuring Nigeria's energy security. He noted with satisfaction the recent increase in oil production from 1.5 million to 1.7 million barrels per day within just two months and welcomed the renewed drive toward achieving the target of 1.9 million barrels by year-end.

In his tribute, President Tinubu outlined clear expectations for the NNPC chief: "You have your work clearly defined before you. As head of NNPC Limited, your mission is to win investors' confidence and ensure that NNPC becomes a key driver of Nigeria's economic growth."

The President added, "On your birthday, my message to you is simple: continue to serve God and the country with dedication and integrity, knowing that your efforts will bring renewed hope to Nigerians and strengthen our energy industry."

President Tinubu concluded his message with prayers for Ojulari, asking God to grant him "strength, wisdom, and success as you lead the NNPC Limited to greater heights."
