The All Progressives Congress (APC) has categorically denied reports circulating in the media that it has granted automatic tickets to all its National Assembly members for the upcoming 2027 general elections.

In a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, described the reports as "FAKE NEWS" and urged the public to disregard them entirely.

"The attention of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has been drawn to a purported breaking news report tagged: 'APC Grants Automatic Tickets to All National Assembly Members' in viral circulation," Morka stated.

He emphasized that the report "is FAKE NEWS and should be disregarded in its entirety as it did not emanate from our great party."

The APC spokesperson further urged all party members and the general public to dismiss the report, describing it as "FAKE and of mischievous origin."

This clarification comes amid growing speculation about the ruling party's strategy for the 2027 general elections, particularly regarding candidate selection processes for legislative positions.

The denial effectively puts to rest claims that sitting APC lawmakers would be granted automatic return tickets without going through the party's standard nomination procedures.

Political analysts note that the issue of automatic tickets often creates tension within Nigerian political parties, as it typically pits incumbent lawmakers against other aspirants seeking to represent their constituencies.
