The General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has revealed that he has been on a "revenge mission" against the devil since the death of his first wife, Abiodun Kumuyi, in 2009.

Speaking at the Global Workers' Conference, Pastor Kumuyi explained that his expanded global ministry activities are part of his response to his wife's passing, which occurred when he was away preaching at Faith Clinic.

"Since the time (of her death), for me to revenge on the devil, I have gone to many places since she left," Kumuyi stated. "I have covered most local governments in Nigeria. I've gone to almost all the nations in Africa. I have gone to all the continents of the world."

The cleric, who remarried in October 2010, claimed that the devil took advantage of his absence from home at the time of his first wife's death. Abiodun Kumuyi died at the age of 57 in April 2009.

Pastor Kumuyi described this expanded outreach as the "next phase" of his ministry, characterizing it as his way of countering the devil's work through increased evangelism and ministry across Nigeria, Africa, and globally.

The 83-year-old religious leader has been at the helm of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, one of Nigeria's largest Pentecostal churches, for several decades and remains active in ministry work despite his age.
