Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Bolaji Olanrewaju, widely known as Big Bolaji, has been laid to rest at All Souls Private Cemetery in Ido, Ibadan, following a memorial service that brought together family, friends, and notable figures from the gospel music industry.

Big Bolaji passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 50 after a brief illness. His burial ceremony commenced on Wednesday with a series of events to honor his life and contributions to gospel music in Nigeria.

The final rites began with a lying-in-state and memorial service held at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre in Ibadan. The solemn occasion saw an impressive turnout of prominent gospel artists including Tosin Bee, Mike Abdul, Bidemi Olaoba, and Yetunde Are. Popular comedian Woli Agba was also present among other well-wishers who came to pay their last respects to the departed singer.

Following the memorial service, a funeral procession made its way to All Souls Private Cemetery where the late gospel artiste was finally laid to rest. The burial site was filled with emotion as Big Bolaji's wife, siblings, and loved ones gathered to bid their final farewell.
