The General Officer Commanding 3 Division, Nigeria Army, Major General Eyitayo Foluso Oyinlola, has emphasized the urgent need for military operations to embrace innovative technology and advanced techniques to effectively combat insecurity challenges across the country.
Speaking during the opening session of the Module III for 3 Division Operations Planning Cadre 2025 at 33 Artillery Brigade of Shadawanka Barracks in Bauchi, Oyinlola highlighted the importance of incorporating technological components into military operations.
"The operational planning cadre junior commander's training for tactical operational level is aimed at shaping and refreshing their minds on their responsibilities and acquainting them with innovations, policies in the Nigerian Army, and Army forces in general," he stated.
The GOC stressed that addressing Nigeria's security challenges requires collaborative efforts from all stakeholders, including the government, military, and the general public. He called for increased cooperation to support security agencies in maintaining peace throughout the region.
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, who was present at the event, expressed gratitude to the Army for selecting Bauchi as the host location for the training. The Governor assured that his administration would continue to provide necessary support to all security agencies operating within the state.
The training program aims to enhance the operational capabilities of junior commanders at the tactical level, equipping them with the latest innovations and policies to effectively respond to the evolving security challenges facing the nation.
