Mrs. Chinaza Odeka, the Anambra woman whose intimate video with a married man recently went viral, has broken her silence on the incident that has made her the subject of widespread public attention.

In an interview conducted at her foodstuff shop, Odeka confirmed her identity in the leaked video that shows her with Ichie Obiora, a titled man from the state. The video was reportedly leaked by her daughter who discovered it on her mother's phone.

"It was never meant to be made available to members of the public. Its leakage has caused me and my family untold hardship and ridicule," Odeka stated, expressing deep regret over the incident.

When questioned about her marital status and the affair, Odeka defended her actions by describing her marriage as "virtually non-existent" due to what she termed her husband's irresponsible behavior.

"Since I entered this marriage, I've never had peace of mind. I'm only staying in it to raise my children," she explained. According to her account, her husband frequently accused her of infidelity without evidence and would often physically assault her at her place of business.

Addressing the public criticism she has faced, Odeka suggested that many of her critics were being hypocritical. "All these people criticising the sex video, I'm sure many married women are doing the same thing; it's just that my own happened to leak," she remarked.

The incident has sparked significant conversation across Anambra State and beyond about privacy, marital issues, and the consequences of digital content in the age of social media.

Neither Ichie Obiora nor Odeka's husband has publicly commented on the situation as of the time of reporting.
