Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo has clinched his second consecutive Golden Boot award in the Saudi Pro League after finishing the 2024-25 season with 25 goals.

The 40-year-old Portuguese star scored in Al Nassr's final match of the season, a 3-2 defeat to Al Fateh, bringing his league tally to 25 goals. Across all competitions this season, Ronaldo found the net 35 times, demonstrating his continued goal-scoring prowess despite his age.

This achievement follows Ronaldo's impressive debut full season in Saudi Arabia, where he registered 35 league goals in the 2023-24 campaign to claim his first Golden Boot in the competition.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner finished the current season two goals ahead of his nearest challenger, Al Ahli's Ivan Toney, who scored 23 goals in his first season in the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo's former Real Madrid teammate, Karim Benzema, netted 21 times for title winners Al-Ittihad, tying with Al Shabab's Abderrazak Hamdallah who also finished with 21 goals.

Despite Ronaldo's individual success, Al Nassr failed to secure the league title, which went to Benzema's Al-Ittihad. The Portuguese superstar's future at the club has become a subject of speculation after he recently hinted that "this chapter is over," suggesting he might be considering a move away from Al-Nassr.

Reports indicate that Ronaldo may be in talks with two Spanish clubs, potentially signaling a return to La Liga where he previously enjoyed tremendous success with Real Madrid.
