Black Stars of Ghana head coach Otto Addo has unveiled a 23-man squad for the upcoming Unity Cup invitational tournament scheduled to take place in London.

In a notable move, Addo has included four home-based players in his selection: Benjamin Asare from Hearts of Oak, Razak Simpson of Nations FC, Kamaradini Mamudu from Medeama SC, and Kwame Opoku who plays for Asante Kotoko.

The squad also features several players making their return to the national team, including Sunderland midfielder Abdul Samed Salis, forward Felix Afena-Gyan, and Anderlecht's Majeed Ashimeru.

Multiple debut call-ups have been handed to new players as several regulars are unavailable for selection due to injuries and club commitments.

All invited players are expected to report to camp on Monday, May 26, as they prepare for their crucial match against Nigeria.

The Black Stars will face the Super Eagles on Wednesday, May 28, at the GTech Community Stadium in West London. The winner will secure a spot in the final scheduled for Saturday, May 31, 2025.

The Unity Cup tournament also features the Reggae Boys of Jamaica and the Soca Warriors of Trinidad and Tobago, making it a competitive four-nation invitational event.

This tournament presents an opportunity for both Ghana and Nigeria to test their squad depth and tactical approaches ahead of future competitive fixtures.
