The Zamfara State Police Command has successfully rescued two kidnap victims during a routine patrol operation in Tsafe forest on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

According to police reports, the victims were abducted on Friday, May 23, and had been held captive for approximately two days before their rescue. The operation was carried out by a patrol team attached to the Tsafe Division of the command.

The rescue operation took place at approximately 1:40 p.m. when security operatives intercepted the victims in the forest area. Authorities confirmed that both victims were safely evacuated without sustaining any injuries during their ordeal or the rescue mission.

"The victims were immediately transported to the General Hospital in Tsafe for medical evaluation and are currently receiving care," a police spokesperson stated. "They will be debriefed and reunited with their families after completing their treatment."
