Al Nassr legend Fahad Al-Bishi has publicly called for Cristiano Ronaldo to leave the Saudi club and retire from professional football, claiming the Portuguese superstar has been prioritizing personal statistics over team success.

Speaking to Koora via VN Express, Al-Bishi delivered a scathing assessment of Ronaldo's impact on the team since his high-profile arrival in 2022, suggesting the five-time Ballon d'Or winner should consider hanging up his boots to protect his legacy.

"Ronaldo only cares about his statistics, not Al Nassr," Al-Bishi stated. "Ronaldo has broken many records, but he's also cost the team points with missed chances. I admire Ronaldo, but I suggest he consider retirement and focus on protecting the legacy he's built. Physically, he can no longer meet the demands he expects of himself."

The former Al Nassr star also criticized Ronaldo's on-field behavior, particularly his visible frustration with teammates. "I can't accept that Ronaldo appeared frustrated with his teammates. He should have done better with his chances. Age comes with limitations," he added.

Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in December 2022 following the termination of his contract with Manchester United. Despite his individual achievements and goal-scoring record in Saudi Arabia, the 40-year-old forward has failed to secure major silverware with the club, with his only trophy being the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup.

The criticism comes at a time when Al Nassr continues to struggle in their pursuit of the Saudi Pro League title, with rivals Al Hilal dominating the domestic competition in recent seasons.

Neither Ronaldo nor Al Nassr has officially responded to Al-Bishi's comments as of the time of reporting.
