The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar III, has offered words of hope to Nigerians facing economic difficulties, assuring them that the current hardship will not last forever.
Speaking on Friday in Sokoto during the observance of the new moon of Zulki'ida, which marks the beginning of the 11th month in the Islamic calendar, the revered monarch encouraged citizens to maintain faith in the country's potential for recovery.
"There is hope in Nigeria, no matter the current hardship. Things will get better, and we must not give up on our nation," the Sultan stated while addressing the difficult economic conditions many Nigerians are currently experiencing.
The Sultan called on leaders at all levels of government to intensify efforts in addressing the suffering of the people, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that relief measures reach those most in need.
He highlighted unity, prayer, and collective responsibility as essential tools for overcoming the nation's challenges, urging Nigerians to remain steadfast in their faith during these trying times.
The monarch further encouraged citizens to continue praying for peace, stability, and economic recovery across the country, reinforcing the message that through perseverance and faith, Nigeria will emerge stronger from its current difficulties.
