Paris Saint-Germain star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has revealed that football icon Cristiano Ronaldo taught him the importance of professionalism both on and off the pitch.

The Georgian international, who joined PSG in January 2025, made this revelation during an interview with former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand Presents.

"I think professionalism. He was the main character for me because everyone knows he is one of the best players in history," Kvaratskhelia said about the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.

"But the way he lives is what I took and learned from him, and many things but the professionalism off the field was the main thing," he added.

The 24-year-old winger disclosed that he often watched Ronaldo while growing up and modelled his football style after the Portuguese superstar, who has played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and currently Al-Nassr.

Kvaratskhelia has enjoyed a meteoric rise in recent years. He played a pivotal role in Napoli's historic Serie A title win in 2023 and was named Serie A Player of the Season for 2023-24 before securing his move to the French capital.

Since joining PSG, the Georgian has already claimed the Ligue 1 title and is now preparing for the biggest match of his career as PSG face Inter Milan in the Champions League final next Saturday.

The winger will be hoping to channel the winning mentality of his idol Ronaldo as he aims to help PSG secure their first-ever Champions League trophy.
