Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has categorically denied rumors suggesting he is set to become the new head coach of Italian club AS Roma, describing such reports as "bullshit."
The 57-year-old German tactician, who left Liverpool in 2024 after guiding them to a third-place finish in the Premier League, made his position clear regarding the speculation about his immediate future in football management.
"I'm not going to become AS Roma new head coach. That story is bullshit," Klopp stated, as quoted by renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Klopp went further to address potential future speculation, adding: "If you read any rumors about me taking a coaching job in the next few years, it's bullshit. You can be the first to say it."
The statement effectively rules out any immediate return to management for the highly respected coach who has previously enjoyed successful spells at Borussia Dortmund and Mainz 05 before his trophy-laden tenure at Liverpool.
Klopp's emphatic denial comes amid increasing speculation about his future plans following his departure from Anfield after nearly nine years in charge of the Merseyside club.
During his time at Liverpool, Klopp transformed the club's fortunes, winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup, cementing his legacy as one of the club's most successful managers.
The German's clarification suggests he is committed to taking a break from football management, at least for the foreseeable future, despite continued interest from top clubs across Europe.
