Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has publicly criticized manager Ruben Amorim following the team's 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in Wednesday's Europa League final.

Speaking to Argentine media after the match in Bilbao, Garnacho expressed disappointment over his limited playing time, questioning why he was only brought on for the final 20 minutes despite his contributions throughout the tournament.

"I played every round until we reached the final, I helped the team, and to play twenty minutes today... I don't know," Garnacho said, clearly frustrated with Amorim's decision.

Tottenham secured their first trophy in 17 years thanks to Brennan Johnson's first-half goal. For the crucial match, Amorim opted to start Mason Mount and Amad Diallo behind striker Rasmus Hojlund, leaving Garnacho on the bench.

The Argentine winger also reflected on Manchester United's disappointing season overall, saying: "It is tough for everyone. This season was bad. Losing the final now and not beating anyone in the league."

He added that the team's attacking struggles were a significant factor in their defeat. "There were a lot of things missing – when you don't score goals, you always need more at the end," he explained.

This public criticism from Garnacho adds to the pressure on Amorim, who has faced scrutiny over his tactical decisions since taking charge at Old Trafford. The defeat marks another disappointing conclusion to what has been a challenging season for Manchester United.
