Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed satisfaction after finally finding the back of the net in his team's 2-0 victory against Al-Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League on Wednesday.
The match, which remained goalless until the second half, saw Jhon Durán break the deadlock before Ronaldo sealed the win with a penalty, helping Al-Nassr secure all three points at home.
Following the match, the Portuguese superstar took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts on the game.
"One of those nights where the ball just didn't want to go in... until it did," Ronaldo wrote alongside a picture of himself celebrating his goal.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner had missed Al-Nassr's previous fixture, a 1-1 draw against Al-Taawoun last Friday, making his return and contribution to Wednesday's victory particularly significant.
With this result, Al-Nassr remains in fourth position on the Saudi Pro League table with 67 points from 33 games as the season approaches its conclusion.
The team will next face Al Fateh on Monday, where Ronaldo will be looking to add to his goal tally and help his side finish the season on a strong note.
Meanwhile, speculation continues to grow regarding Ronaldo's future at the Saudi club. His current contract with Al-Nassr is set to expire at the end of the season, and reports indicate that he has yet to sign a new deal with the club.
The 39-year-old forward joined Al-Nassr in December 2022 after leaving Manchester United and has been a key figure for the Saudi club since his arrival.
