A fresh wave of bandit attacks has hit Katsina State as armed men raided Rairaye community in Radda district, Charanchi Local Government Area on Monday night, leaving one person injured and rustling a large number of cattle.

The incident, which occurred late Monday, was reported by security analyst Bakatsine through his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday, highlighting the continuing security challenges facing communities across Katsina State.

"Last night, bandits stormed Rairaye in Radda district, Charanchi LGA, Katsina State. One person was injured and a large number of cattle were rustled," Bakatsine stated in his post.

The security analyst further described the attack as "yet another blow as communities across Katsina continue to face growing insecurity."

As of the time of this report, the Katsina State Police Command has not issued an official statement regarding the incident, leaving many questions unanswered about the exact number of cattle rustled and the condition of the injured victim.

This attack adds to the growing list of security incidents in Katsina State, where rural communities have increasingly become targets for armed bandits who specialize in cattle rustling, kidnapping, and violent raids.

The Charanchi Local Government Area, previously considered relatively peaceful compared to other parts of the state, now appears to be experiencing the spillover effects of banditry that has plagued neighboring regions.

Residents of affected communities have repeatedly called for increased security presence and more proactive measures from authorities to address the deteriorating security situation in the state.
