The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration has achieved 90 percent completion of 260 palliative projects nationwide worth N208 billion.

Umahi made this disclosure during the 2025 ministerial briefings held in Abuja on Friday, where he highlighted the government's infrastructure achievements over the past 23 months.

According to the Minister, the Tinubu administration remains committed to completing its 64 new road projects and four legacy projects across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones. He further revealed that 19 projects have been fully completed since the administration took office.

"Mr. President, 260 palliative projects have been completed to 90 percent, worth N208 billion. The road and bridge is the major sector that grows the gross domestic product and economy," Umahi stated during the briefing.

The Minister emphasized the critical role of infrastructure development in Nigeria's economic growth, particularly highlighting how the construction of roads and bridges contributes significantly to the country's GDP.

Umahi commended President Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to infrastructure development across the nation, suggesting that these projects will have long-term positive impacts on Nigeria's economy and the welfare of its citizens.

The ministerial briefing forms part of the government's efforts to keep Nigerians informed about the progress of various developmental projects being undertaken by the current administration.
