Former Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has identified Pedri and Lamine Yamal as the two Barcelona players who have impressed him the most this season, following the club's thrilling 4-3 victory over Real Madrid in El Clasico.

Speaking with Pasion Blaugrana, the Uruguayan forward, now playing for Inter Miami, expressed his admiration for the current Barcelona squad under manager Hansi Flick.

"I love Barcelona today. It has impressive dynamics, football and efficiency, has a very high level and there are two players who are above average and make the difference, which are Lamine Yamal and Pedri," Suarez stated.

The former Liverpool striker further elaborated on his assessment: "They have other players, like Raphinha, who score at essential moments. But Pedri... I am seeing a level of play that surprises me at the high level he is achieving; and Yamal is surprising me because of how old he is."

Both Pedri and Yamal have been instrumental in Barcelona's campaign under Flick this season. Their performances have helped Barcelona maintain a strong position in LaLiga, with the recent El Clasico victory further cementing their title credentials.

Yamal, despite his young age, has shown remarkable maturity and skill on the pitch, while Pedri continues to establish himself as one of the most technically gifted midfielders in world football.

Suarez's comments come at a time when Barcelona appears to be regaining its competitive edge in Spanish football, with the blend of experienced players and emerging talents proving effective under Flick's management.
