Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has formally petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Oluwatosin Ajayi, calling for the immediate arrest and prosecution of Olorogun Ese Kakor, President of the Neo-Black Movement (NBM) of Africa.

According to a statement released by the governor's Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, Kakor is accused of forging official state government documents that falsely authorized his organization to provide assistance to schools in the Edo South Senatorial District.

Governor Okpebholo described the alleged forgery as "not only fraudulent but a direct assault on the integrity of the state's administrative processes." He further revealed that the forgery was allegedly carried out in collaboration with certain low-level civil servants within the state bureaucracy.

"The civil servants implicated in the forgery have already been identified and taken into custody, and a police investigation is currently underway to determine their level of culpability," the statement noted.

The governor has vowed that all individuals found culpable in the alleged forgery scheme will face prosecution in accordance with the law.

In a related development, Governor Okpebholo announced that the land title on which the NBM headquarters was erected in Edo State has been revoked. This decision was attributed to the organization's alleged involvement in violent crimes and unlawful activities within the state.

The governor has urged both the Nigeria Police Force and the DSS to intensify their efforts in curbing the operations of groups allegedly involved in criminal activities and to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.

As of the time of this report, there has been no official response from the Neo-Black Movement or its president regarding these allegations.
