Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has addressed concerns regarding Brazilian forward Rodrygo's current situation at the Spanish giants, revealing the player is experiencing discomfort in his leg.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of Real Madrid's LaLiga clash with Mallorca scheduled for Wednesday night, Ancelotti provided insight into the 24-year-old's condition.
"Rodrygo has discomfort in his leg. He's sad for that, but there's really nothing more," Ancelotti explained. "He had a fever and didn't train last week so he wasn't fit. He felt uncomfortable and we wanted to look at it."
The Italian tactician, who is set to depart from his role as Real Madrid manager, emphasized his personal fondness for the Brazilian international, stating, "Everyone loves Rodrygo, especially me."
Rodrygo joined Real Madrid in 2019 from Brazilian club Santos and has since become an integral part of the squad. His absence due to physical discomfort comes at a crucial period in the season as Real Madrid continues their LaLiga campaign.
The forward's situation will likely be closely monitored by the medical team as Real Madrid prepares for their upcoming fixtures, with fans hoping for a swift recovery for the talented Brazilian.
