Monterrey defender Sergio Ramos has backed Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé to win the Ballon d'Or award up to five times during his career, citing the Frenchman's exceptional talent and impressive debut season at the Spanish giants.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Ramos, who played alongside Mbappé at Paris Saint-Germain for two years between 2021 and 2023, expressed confidence in the 26-year-old's ability to dominate football's most prestigious individual award in the coming years.

"If it were up to me, I think Kylian would have the peace of mind of taking home four or five Ballons d'Or in five or 10 years," Ramos stated. "He has the talent, even if Madrid didn't have a year full of titles, he had a great season and showed that he was a player of this level."

Impressive Debut Season at Madrid

In his first year with Real Madrid, Mbappé has already made a significant impact, helping the club secure the Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup. The French forward has been particularly prolific in front of goal, netting an impressive 43 goals in 56 appearances across all competitions.

This remarkable goal-scoring record has not only set a new benchmark at the Bernabéu but has also earned Mbappé the European Golden Shoe, awarded to Europe's top scorer.

Ramos' endorsement adds to the growing sentiment that Mbappé is positioned to become one of football's all-time greats, potentially following in the footsteps of previous multiple Ballon d'Or winners like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 2025 Ballon d'Or race is heating up, with Mbappé considered among the frontrunners based on his stellar performances for both club and country.
