The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the postponement of the inauguration ceremony for its Anambra State Gubernatorial National Campaign Council, which was originally scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

The announcement was made through an official statement released by the party's National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Thursday.

According to the statement, the party has not yet determined a new date for the inauguration but assured that it would be communicated in due course.

"The All Progressives Congress, APC, wishes to inform its members, stakeholders and the general public that the inauguration of the National Campaign Council for the 2025 Anambra State Governorship election scheduled to be held today, Thursday 11th September, 2025 at the party's National Secretariat in Abuja, has been postponed," the statement read.

The APC expressed regret for any inconveniences the sudden change might have caused to members and stakeholders who had prepared for the event. However, the party reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a successful campaign for the upcoming Anambra gubernatorial election scheduled for November 8, 2025.

The postponement comes at a critical time as political parties intensify preparations for what analysts predict will be a highly competitive election in Anambra State. The APC, which currently does not control the state government, has been working to strengthen its position in the South-Eastern region of Nigeria.

Political observers note that the effectiveness of the campaign council will be crucial to the party's chances in the November election, as the APC seeks to make inroads in a state traditionally dominated by other political parties.

The party has not disclosed the reason for the postponement, leaving room for speculation among political watchers and stakeholders in Anambra politics.
