Veteran Nigerian music producer, Don Jazzy, has proudly highlighted his impressive contribution to Billboard's recently released Top 50 'Best Afrobeats Songs of All-Time' list, revealing that he produced six of the featured tracks.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, the Mavin Records boss expressed satisfaction with his achievement, writing: "Inside the 50 I sha produced 6. I try Abi I no try."
The celebrated producer's credits on the prestigious list include Wande Coal's hit songs 'Bumper 2 Bumper' and 'Kiss Your Hand', as well as D'banj's chart-toppers 'Oliver Twist' and 'Fall In Love'. Additionally, his collaborations with Tiwa Savage, 'Eminado' and 'Dorobucci', also made the cut.
This achievement solidifies Don Jazzy's position as the Afrobeats producer with the most production credits on Billboard's influential list, highlighting his significant role in shaping the global Afrobeats sound.
The recognition is particularly noteworthy as it features works from his former artists during the Mo'Hits era, including D'banj and Wande Coal, as well as his current Mavin Records roster, demonstrating his enduring influence across different phases of his career.
Don Jazzy, whose real name is Michael Collins Ajereh, has been instrumental in the development of numerous Nigerian music stars and has consistently contributed to the evolution and international recognition of Afrobeats music.
