The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has made a passionate appeal to Nigerian voters to give the party an opportunity to demonstrate its capabilities in the upcoming by-elections scheduled for Saturday.

The interim National Chairman of the party, David Mark, voiced this appeal during an event organized for ADC candidates in Abuja, where he emphasized the party's readiness to provide better governance alternatives for Nigerians.

"The ADC is a child of necessity. It was born out of the genuine desire to offer Nigerians an alternative and better governance. Give the party an opportunity to prove its worth," Mark stated during the gathering.

BenriNews reports that the event brought together ADC candidates contesting for senatorial, House of Representatives, and State Houses of Assembly positions. Party leaders at the gathering underscored the significance of the upcoming elections for the party's growth.

The former Senate President specifically called on voters in Anambra, Edo, Oyo, Taraba, Adamawa, Kaduna, Zamfara, Kano, Niger, and Ogun States to support ADC candidates in the by-elections. He assured voters that the party remains committed to fulfilling its campaign promises if given the mandate.

The by-elections represent a critical opportunity for the ADC to establish itself as a viable alternative in Nigeria's political landscape, particularly as the country looks toward the 2027 general elections.

Political analysts note that the ADC's performance in these by-elections could significantly impact its positioning ahead of future electoral contests, especially as various political movements begin early preparations for 2027.
