Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has sparked controversy with claims that medical doctors are deliberately trained not to heal patients, suggesting that the healthcare system is designed to keep patients returning for profit.
Speaking during a recent interview on the Echoo Room hosted by reality TV star Teddy A, the actor alleged that the medical profession prioritizes business interests over patient wellness.
"Medical doctors are basically trained all through their career not to heal. It's big pharma business. If they tell you what to take and they heal you, you're not a customer anymore and they won't make money," Jim Iyke stated.
The actor further described healthcare as "a trillion-dollar industry" built on keeping patients dependent on medical services rather than providing permanent solutions to health issues.
"There's a GMO everywhere. The orthodox medicines; the lies. If I say it anywhere, it upsets them [medical practitioners]," he added, suggesting that his views often face resistance from healthcare professionals.
This is not the first time Jim Iyke has made controversial health-related statements. Previously, he claimed that "food is a scam" and that the human body is designed to eat just once daily, which also generated significant public reaction.
While the actor's comments have gained attention, it's important to note that they represent personal opinions rather than scientifically verified information about medical practice or healthcare systems.
Medical professionals typically adhere to the Hippocratic Oath, which emphasizes patient welfare as their primary concern, and undergo rigorous training focused on evidence-based treatment protocols.
