Controversial relationship therapist Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has publicly condemned the recent arrest of her fiancé, auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna (IVD), who was detained by the Lagos State Police Command while attempting to travel to Qatar.
According to reports, IVD's arrest is connected to an ongoing domestic violence case from 2022 involving the death of his wife, Bimbo. The incident has sparked renewed attention as it occurred just ahead of IVD's planned wedding with Blessing CEO in Qatar.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Blessing CEO defended her fiancé, insisting on his innocence while claiming he is being unfairly targeted and exploited. "They are pushing me so hard. I will drop this love and come out with my full garment. They are bullying IVD, and it's getting out of hand. IVD is innocent. I am not a coward, these people are using my man, I won't tolerate this anymore," she stated.
In a subsequent Instagram post, the relationship therapist questioned the legitimacy of IVD's detention, pointing out the absence of a formal case file or official charges against him. She noted that his passport had only recently been replaced after being missing for two years and emphasized that no court order existed preventing him from traveling.
Blessing CEO further alleged that police officials have indicated IVD will remain in custody until Monday despite the lack of a formal statement. She characterized the entire situation as a display of power and emotional manipulation, claiming that IVD has been subjected to pressure and threats since the case began three years ago.
The arrest has generated significant public interest, particularly as it comes at a time when the couple was reportedly preparing for their wedding ceremony in Qatar. This development marks the latest chapter in a controversial relationship that has frequently drawn public attention and scrutiny.
As of the time of reporting, the Lagos State Police Command has not issued an official statement regarding the specific charges against IVD or the timeline for potential legal proceedings.
