The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has officially declared Ji Zhou, a 36-year-old Chinese national, wanted in connection with allegations of cybercrime and impersonation.

According to a public notice issued by the anti-graft agency on July 22, 2025, Zhou's last known address was Uguwan Mai Keke, Kafanchan, in Jama'a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The notice, signed by EFCC's Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, called on members of the public with useful information about Zhou's whereabouts to come forward and assist in the investigation.

"Anyone with useful information as to his whereabouts should contact the EFCC or the nearest police station," the statement read in part.

The Commission has provided multiple contact options for citizens who may have information regarding the wanted individual. The public can reach out to EFCC offices in Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, or Abuja.

This case highlights the growing concern over foreign nationals allegedly involved in cybercrime operations within Nigeria, as authorities intensify efforts to combat digital fraud and impersonation schemes that target both local and international victims.

The EFCC has not disclosed specific details about Zhou's alleged criminal activities, but cybercrime cases typically involve various forms of online fraud, identity theft, and financial scams that can result in significant financial losses for victims.
