A prominent political support group, South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), has officially launched its Anambra State chapter with the primary aim of mobilizing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election in the 2027 general elections.

The inauguration ceremony, which took place on Saturday in Awka, attracted a significant turnout of supporters and stakeholders from across the state, demonstrating a growing effort to strengthen the president's political influence in the South East region.

During the event, Professor Frank Anaeto, National Coordinator of SERHA, instructed members to focus on extensive grassroots mobilization while adhering strictly to legal boundaries in their operations.

"This association is not a political party, it is a movement, a pressure group solely dedicated to the re-election of Mr President," Professor Anaeto emphasized. "We are not backing any other candidate. SERHA is focused on continuity of the Renewed Hope Agenda. You must be open to all opinions. Listen, engage, but never forget our goal, President Tinubu's re-election."

The National Coordinator commended the leadership of the Anambra State chapter, particularly highlighting the efforts of its chairman, Alphonsus Chukwukwudum Monagolu, for what he described as proactive leadership and vision in advancing the group's objectives.

Empowerment Initiatives Unveiled

As part of its community engagement strategy, SERHA distributed cash grants to over 1,000 beneficiaries across Anambra State during the launch. Additionally, the organization donated a shuttle bus to the state chapter to facilitate logistics and outreach programs in various communities.

The state chairman, Monagolu, in his address, praised President Tinubu for what he termed "unprecedented strides in youth empowerment, economic restructuring, and inclusive governance" since assuming office.

"This movement is our way of giving back. We are taking the message of hope to every ward, every community. We are confident that the South East will have a stronger voice in Tinubu's second term," Monagolu stated.

The establishment of SERHA's Anambra chapter represents a strategic move to consolidate political support for President Tinubu in a region that has historically presented electoral challenges for his political affiliations.

Political analysts suggest that this early mobilization, coming approximately two years before the next general elections, indicates the administration's intention to strengthen its position in the South East ahead of 2027.
