The Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has made a passionate appeal to all Ekiti indigenes to join forces with his administration in building a state that will be economically viable, socially mobile, and politically recognized among Nigerian states.

Speaking on Friday at an event organized by former House of Representatives member, Wunmi Ogunlola, for the people of Ijero Local Government Area, Oyebanji emphasized his government's readiness to work with every citizen regardless of class, political belief, or religious inclination, provided the interest of the state remains paramount.

The Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Monisade Afuye, commended Ogunlola for her initiative to empower local residents amid the current economic challenges facing the nation.

Despite the difficult economic situation, Oyebanji offered words of hope to citizens. "The day of joy is imminent. With the gradual pick up of our economy, because of the actions being taken by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I am sure that our days of abundance are on the way," he stated.

Ogunlola, who currently serves as a Commissioner in the Board of Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), pledged to continue working closely with Governor Oyebanji to address poverty and unemployment through her personal philanthropic efforts.

She emphasized her commitment to supporting the less fortunate regardless of whether she holds an official position, noting that making a positive impact on people's lives is the true mark of effective leadership.

The event highlights the growing collaboration between government officials and community leaders in Ekiti State to address economic challenges while awaiting the anticipated benefits of national economic reforms.
