Flutterwave, Africa's leading payment technology company, has announced the resumption of its Send App services in Europe, providing Africans in the diaspora with an improved platform for remittance transfers to their home countries.

The relaunch comes with enhanced features focused on speed, security, and convenience for users sending money back to Africa. This development aligns with Flutterwave's mission to maintain seamless payment connections for Africans worldwide.

Enhanced Features and Expanded Coverage

The revamped Send App now supports money transfers from multiple European countries including Ireland, France, Germany, and Italy to various African nations such as Nigeria, Egypt, Cameroon, and Côte d'Ivoire, with more destinations planned.

Users can complete transactions using Visa cards or direct bank transfers, with additional payment options expected in the future. The platform has also implemented upgraded infrastructure designed for faster processing times and stronger security protocols.

According to the World Bank, remittance flows to low- and middle-income countries are projected to reach $690 billion by 2025, highlighting the growing importance of reliable transfer services for diaspora communities.

Leadership Perspective

Olugbenga 'GB' Agboola, CEO and Founder of Flutterwave, emphasized the significance of the relaunch: "This isn't just a resumption; it's a renewed commitment to our community. Send App in Europe means more speed, more choice, more security, and more value for Africans sending money back home, knowing their transfers are safe and seamless every step of the way."

This European relaunch follows Send App's recent expansion in the United States, where Flutterwave acquired 20 additional Money Transmitter Licenses across various states, significantly increasing its direct-to-source coverage in the American market.

These strategic moves reflect Flutterwave's ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in regions with significant African diaspora populations, facilitating easier financial connections between Africans abroad and their home countries.
