Veteran Nollywood actress Bukky Wright has opened up about her desire to remarry at the age of 58, though she emphasized that finding a new partner is not a necessity for her.
The renowned actress, who rose to fame following her role in the 1999 movie 'Saworoide,' made this revelation during a recent interview with BBC Yoruba, where she discussed her personal life and future aspirations.
"On the issue of marriage, I wish to be married again if God destined it, but it's not a must," Wright stated during the interview.
The single mother of two further revealed that she had taken her marital desires to a spiritual level, saying, "In fact, when I went to Al Kaaba I prayed to God about it, and I know he is a God that answers prayers."
Wright's candid discussion about potentially finding love again comes after previous relationships that have been in the public eye. Reports indicate that her second marriage allegedly ended some years ago, though the actress has generally maintained privacy regarding her personal relationships.
The veteran actress has previously spoken about how her children helped her through difficult periods, once revealing that they saved her from depression during challenging times in her life.
Wright remains an influential figure in Nollywood, with a career spanning over two decades. Her openness about personal matters like remarriage at 58 challenges societal norms and may inspire other women of similar age who might be considering new relationships later in life.
