The Managing Director of EeZee Conceptz Limited, Nancy Nnadi, popularly known as Coach Nancy, has officially retracted her alleged defamatory statements against gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, revealing that settlement talks are currently underway to resolve their ongoing royalty dispute.
The conflict began in January 2025 when Chinwo took her former record label boss, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu (EeZee Tee), to court over allegations of diverting $345,000 in music royalties. This legal action came two years after Chinwo parted ways with EeZee Conceptz record label following disagreements over financial matters.
During the legal proceedings, Nnadi had accused Chinwo of financial misconduct, prompting the gospel artist to file a defamation lawsuit against the label's managing director. Chinwo demanded a public apology and the removal of the controversial posts from Nnadi's social media platforms.
In a recent Instagram post shared over the weekend, Nnadi formally withdrew her allegations against the singer, stating: "On the advice of my lawyer, and for the sake of peace and love of God, I retract my earlier post about Minister Mercy Chinwo. As well pray that Almighty God perfects ongoing settlement process being facilitated by the Fathers of Faith between her and EeZee Conceptz."
The statement reveals that respected religious leaders are facilitating the peace settlement between the gospel artist and her former record label, suggesting both parties are working toward an amicable resolution outside of court.
