Nigerian singer Cynthia Morgan, also known as Madrina, has reignited her long-standing feud with former record label boss Jude Okoye, publicly calling him out over unresolved issues dating back to 2016.
In a strongly-worded Instagram post, Morgan accused Okoye of speaking negatively about her behind her back while allegedly avoiding any direct communication despite her numerous attempts to meet with him in person.
"All you have done since 2016 is talk behind my back, all efforts to see you in person have been to no avail. It is news that I am disappointed in you and I know you are also disappointed in yourself, hence your no face policy," Morgan stated in her post.
The dancehall artist further suggested that Okoye has been deliberately avoiding her while expressing her belief in divine justice. She added, "But you see, I know I had to reap my own destruction for sowing in flesh and you too will reap yours for being an instrument and for holding back such earnings through dishonesty. As we all know God cannot be mocked."
This public confrontation comes amid a backdrop of previous disputes between the singer and her former label. Morgan had previously been signed to Northside Entertainment, owned by Jude Okoye, before their professional relationship deteriorated.
Industry observers note that this latest outburst may be connected to alleged financial disputes and contractual disagreements that have persisted since their split. Morgan's career experienced significant challenges following her departure from the label, with the singer previously claiming that the fallout affected her music career trajectory.
Jude Okoye, who previously managed the now-disbanded P-Square duo, has not yet responded publicly to Morgan's latest accusations.
It's worth noting that Okoye has recently faced other challenges, including legal issues. Court records indicate he was granted bail of N100 million in connection with an alleged N1.38 billion fraud case, though this appears unrelated to Morgan's complaints.
