Ebonyi youths have officially declared their support for President Bola Tinubu's 2027 re-election bid during the inauguration of the state chapter of South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA) on Saturday.
Belusochukwu Enwere, National Coordinator of SERHA, who presided over the inauguration, commended the youths for their backing of the President. He described the organization as a progressive coalition of Nigerians from the Southeast region, encompassing men, women, youth of all faiths, organizations, tribes, and ethnicities across all strata of the southeast.
Enwere highlighted President Tinubu's contributions to national development, particularly noting the establishment of the Southeast Development Commission. "The establishment of the Southeast Development Commission is an opportunity for us and indeed people to come and join for the election of our dear President," he stated.
Ebonyi State's Commitment to Tinubu
James Alaka, the Ebonyi State Coordinator of SERHA, assured that the state would support President Tinubu in the 2027 general election. He praised the President for his inclusive leadership and commitment to addressing challenges facing the southeast region, which he described as reflecting "a renewed commitment to equity, competence and national development."
"President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has, in the past two years, laid a solid foundation for economic revitalization with signs of progress, already visible. He has shown courage, determination and a clear vision in steering the country towards recovery and growth," Alaka remarked.
The State Coordinator also expressed gratitude for the appointment of Senator David Umahi as Minister of Works, describing it as a historic first for Nigeria.
This development comes amid growing political activities across the country as various regions begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections. The South-South APC has also reportedly adopted President Tinubu as their sole candidate for the 2027 election, indicating building momentum for the President's re-election campaign.
