The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center (DIGC), Dr. Paul Enenche, has announced the cessation of all live broadcasts of church services, emphasizing the importance of physical attendance at worship gatherings.
During Sunday's service, Pastor Enenche declared that the church would no longer broadcast its services live, urging members who typically watch from home to prioritize in-person attendance.
"Those of you, who are used to watching from home, today may be the last day you do that. We are stopping all live broadcasts except those overseas who may not have access to a physical church," he stated.
Biblical Foundation for the Decision
The clergyman cited Hebrews 10:25 as the scriptural basis for his decision, which admonishes believers not to forsake "the assembling of ourselves together." Pastor Enenche emphasized that physical gathering is fundamental to Christian fellowship, stating that "the assembly is very important" and that connecting via satellite should be discouraged moving forward.
Prior to this announcement, Dunamis Church regularly streamed all Sunday and midweek services through multiple platforms including Dunamis TV, YouTube, and Facebook, making their services accessible to a global audience.
The only exception to this new policy will be for overseas viewers who do not have access to a physical Dunamis church location in their area.
BenriNews reports that this decision marks a significant shift in the church's outreach strategy, which had previously embraced digital platforms as a means of expanding its ministry beyond physical locations.
This move comes at a time when many religious organizations worldwide are increasingly leveraging technology to reach broader audiences, making Dunamis Church's return to traditional in-person worship a notable countertrend in contemporary religious practice.
