Thousands of Iranians flooded the streets of Tehran and other major cities on Friday in large-scale demonstrations against Israel, showcasing national unity amid escalating regional tensions.

State television broadcast footage of demonstrators in the capital chanting pro-government slogans and expressing strong solidarity with the country's leadership. Many protesters carried banners with messages of loyalty, including one that read, "I will sacrifice my life for my leader," referring to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The demonstrations featured prominently displayed Iranian flags alongside those of Hezbollah, the Lebanese militant group allied with Tehran. Some protesters held photographs of military commanders reportedly killed since the beginning of the ongoing conflict with Israel.

According to state media, similar demonstrations occurred in northwestern Tabriz and southern Shiraz, described as a "nationwide show of unity and resistance" against Israel.

Regional Tensions Escalating

The protests come at a time of heightened tensions between Iran and Israel. Recently, Australia announced the closure of its Tehran embassy and ordered staff to leave Iran amid the escalating situation.

Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei has made several strong statements regarding Israel in recent weeks, including vowing "no mercy" for Israeli leaders and declaring that "the battle begins."

The Nigerian government has also been finalizing evacuation plans for its citizens in both Israel and Iran as concerns grow about potential wider conflict in the region.

These developments have raised fears across Africa and other regions about the possibility of the Israel-Iran conflict reaching new heights, potentially affecting global stability.
