President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to unlocking the potential of every state across Nigeria to enable them serve their citizens more effectively.
The President made this declaration on Thursday during a one-day working visit to Kaduna State, where he commissioned the ultramodern Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development in Rigachikun, Igabi Local Government Area.
While addressing the gathering, Tinubu praised the Governor Uba Sani-led administration, describing Kaduna as "Nigeria's most promising frontier of progress and purpose."
"What Kaduna is doing is a clear sign of what is possible when the sub-national governments are empowered, trusted and supported by the centre to do more," the President stated.
Vocational Training Institute Named After Balarabe-Musa
The newly commissioned institute was named after the late governor of the state, AbdulKadir Balarabe-Musa, in recognition of his contributions to the development of Kaduna State.
BenriNews reports that the facility is expected to play a crucial role in addressing skills gaps and enhancing vocational training opportunities for residents of the state.
The President's visit to Kaduna is part of his ongoing efforts to engage directly with state governments and assess development projects across the country.
Tinubu's pledge to unlock the potential of all states aligns with his administration's broader economic reform agenda, which emphasizes decentralization and empowerment of sub-national entities.
