Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator, Sabinus, has made an impassioned plea to the Federal Government and security agencies to urgently intervene in the ongoing killings in Benue State by suspected herdsmen militia.

In a video broadcast with his content crew, Sabinus expressed deep concern over the wanton loss of lives in the state, emphasizing that every Nigerian life matters regardless of location.

"Our government and all the relevant security agencies, we are begging you to intervene in the ongoing killings in Benue State. Every life matters. Please, take urgent action to salvage the situation," he stated.

The comedian warned that if left unchecked, the violence could potentially spread to other states, putting more Nigerian lives at risk. "We have been hearing of the killings, but it doesn't make sense. We don't know where it will happen next. We can be victims, too. Please, government intervene. Go and help the Benue State people. They need urgent help," he added.

Sabinus' appeal comes amid reports of escalating violence in parts of Benue State, which has raised concerns among Nigerians across the country. His intervention adds to growing calls from various quarters demanding immediate government action to protect lives and restore peace in the affected communities.

The situation in Benue has also drawn reactions from other prominent figures, including Ohanaeze Ndigbo, which has decried the killings and demanded urgent government intervention. Former Senate President David Mark has also warned that Nigerians may be forced to take up arms for self-defense if the government fails to address the situation effectively.

As the crisis continues, there are reports of significant casualties, with one former aide to ex-Governor Ortom reportedly losing 23 family members in the attacks.
