Kun Khalifat FC head coach, Obinna Uzoho, has expressed satisfaction with the performance of match officials in the 2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, rating their officiating at an impressive 85%.

Speaking to BenriNews, Uzoho highlighted the remarkable improvement in refereeing standards compared to his previous experiences in Nigerian football.

"The officials have shown a great deal of class, and while human error is always a factor, I must say that the standard of officiating in the league today has significantly improved compared to what I experienced eight years ago during my time at Papilo FC," Uzoho stated.

Team Performance and Playoff Qualification

Beyond praising the referees, Uzoho also expressed delight with his team's performance throughout the season. Kun Khalifat FC finished top of the NNL Group B with 37 points, securing their place in the upcoming NNL Super Eight playoff tournament.

When asked about his feelings regarding the team's progress, Uzoho described it as "nothing but the joy of passing grade five going to grade six," indicating his satisfaction with the club's development and achievements this season.

The NNL Super Eight playoff tournament will determine which teams gain promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) for the next season, presenting Kun Khalifat FC with an opportunity to reach Nigeria's top-flight football division.
