The Ogun State Government has reiterated its commitment to the welfare of public servants, stating that healthy and happy workers make productive workers. This declaration was made during the Jumat prayers held to commemorate the 2025 Public Service Week in the state.
Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele, who represented the state government at the event, acknowledged the crucial role civil servants have played in the administration's achievements over the past six years.
"Our future agenda have been delivered with your support, insight, goodwill, day-to-day perseverance and dedication to building the state," Salako-Oyedele said. "I want to thank you for your prayers and support for us, and I can assure you that we will continue to do our best for Ogun State public service."
The Deputy Governor emphasized that the administration aims to leave behind a legacy of commitment to the integrity and welfare of the Ogun State civil service, making it the preferred and best civil service in the country.
Civil Service Leadership Voices Support
Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, the State Head of Service, congratulated the workforce, particularly the Muslim community, for their peaceful coexistence with colleagues of other religions. He explained that the Public Service Week serves as an opportunity to evaluate past activities and plan for the future.
Onasanya urged state workers to continue collaborating with the government, emphasizing their role as the "engine room" of governance.
The State Chief Judge, Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, represented by Justice Adebowale, also congratulated civil servants and encouraged them to follow Islamic tenets while remaining dedicated to improving the service.
Mariam Oloko, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, called on civil servants to maintain their commitment and work with sincerity of purpose and diligence.
The Public Service Week celebration highlights the Ogun State Government's recognition of its workforce as essential partners in achieving its governance objectives and delivering services to citizens.
