Khaby Lame, the world's most followed TikToker with over 160 million followers, has been deported from the United States following his arrest and detention by US immigration authorities.

The 25-year-old Italian-Senegalese social media sensation was arrested on June 6, 2025, at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for allegedly overstaying his visa.

According to an official statement from ICE, Lame had entered the United States on April 30 but remained in the country beyond the permitted duration of his stay. The agency confirmed that the TikTok star was granted "a voluntary departure order" after "overstaying the terms of his visa" and has since left the country.

No Public Statement Yet

As of the time of this report, Lame has not issued any public statement addressing the controversy surrounding his deportation. However, he has indirectly confirmed his new location through social media.

On Wednesday, following his deportation, Lame took to his Instagram page, where he boasts over 80 million followers, to share his current whereabouts. His Instagram story was simply captioned: "São Paulo, Brazil."

BenriNews reports that this incident marks a significant setback for the content creator who rose to global fame through his silent comedy skits and reaction videos that transcend language barriers.

Rise to Fame

Khaby Lame gained worldwide recognition for his straightforward approach to complicated life hack videos, using his signature hand gestures and expressions instead of words. His unique style of content creation has earned him partnerships with major brands and appearances at international events.

The deportation raises questions about the challenges international content creators face when navigating immigration requirements while pursuing global opportunities in the rapidly evolving digital entertainment industry.

It remains to be seen how this incident will affect Lame's career and his ability to engage with his American audience and business opportunities in the United States.
