Chelsea have officially confirmed that four players will depart the club at the end of this month when their current contracts expire on June 30.
The Premier League west London club made this announcement in a statement published on their website on Sunday. The departing players include Lucas Bergstrom, Dylan Williams, Eddie Beach, and Luke Campbell.
Bergstrom, who joined Chelsea from Turun Palloseura in Finland during the 2018/2019 season, will be moving on after spending nearly five years with the Blues. Beach, who arrived from Southampton in 2022, is also set to leave after a relatively short stint at Stamford Bridge.
Williams has already secured his next move, having joined Burton Albion last month. Meanwhile, Campbell, who was a regular for Chelsea's Under-18s, spent the first half of this season on loan at Hendon before his contract decision was finalized.
"Chelsea thanks all our departing players for their contribution during their time with the Blues and wish them well for the next chapter in their career," the club's statement partly read.
Summer Transfer Plans
The announcement comes as Chelsea are expected to be active in the summer transfer window, particularly after securing qualification for next season's Champions League. This return to Europe's premier club competition will likely influence their recruitment strategy in the coming months.
These departures may create room in the squad for new signings as the club looks to strengthen ahead of competing on multiple fronts next season.
The summer transfer window officially opened on June 10, giving Chelsea and other Premier League clubs the opportunity to finalize deals before the 2025/26 season begins.
