The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially confirmed Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, as the venue for the 2025 President Federation Cup finals. Both the men's and women's championship matches will take place on Saturday, June 28.
This marks the second consecutive year that the historic Lagos venue will host the prestigious cup finals. Last year, the same stadium was the battleground for the men's final between El-Kanemi Warriors and Abia Warriors, as well as the women's showdown between Rivers Angels and Naija Ratels.
Match Schedule and Participating Teams
In the men's category, surprise package Abakaliki FC will face Kwara United in what promises to be an exciting final scheduled to kick off at 4 pm. Kwara United's team manager recently confirmed their complete focus on the cup final, stating, "We are fully concentrated on bringing the President Federation Cup trophy home."
The women's final will precede the men's match, starting at 2 pm, with defending champions Rivers Angels taking on Nasarawa Amazons in a highly anticipated contest between two of Nigeria's strongest women's teams.
Football fans across Nigeria are eagerly awaiting this double-header of cup finals, which represents the culmination of the domestic cup competition for the 2024/2025 season.
The NFF's decision to maintain the Mobolaji Johnson Arena as the venue highlights the federation's satisfaction with the facility's standards and the atmosphere it provides for Nigeria's premier cup competition.
