President Bola Tinubu has officially reconciled with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, declaring that he is no longer displeased with him following intervention by members of the Governor's Advisory Council (GAC).

The reconciliation took place on Sunday during a meeting between President Tinubu and GAC members, who had specifically visited to plead on Sanwo-Olu's behalf and seek forgiveness for others who may have offended the President.

GAC Chairman Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi acknowledged during the meeting that he was aware of Tinubu's displeasure with certain individuals in Lagos State, particularly Governor Sanwo-Olu, and personally appealed to the President for mercy.

"It's all over now. All is forgiven," Tinubu responded, assuring that he was no longer displeased with anyone present at the meeting, including the Governor.

In a traditional gesture of remorse and respect, Sanwo-Olu and other GAC members subsequently prostrated before the President, symbolizing their deference and the resolution of tensions.

While specific details about the nature of the disagreement between Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu were not disclosed, the reconciliation appears to mark the end of a period of strained relations between the President and the Governor of his home state.

The GAC, which serves as a powerful advisory body in Lagos State politics, has historically played significant roles in political reconciliations and decision-making within the state's governance structure.

This development comes as President Tinubu continues to consolidate political relationships across the country, with particular attention to his political base in Lagos State where he previously served as governor.
