Super Eagles forward Moses Simon has warned Jamaica that Nigeria will approach Saturday's Unity Cup final with full competitive intensity, dismissing any notion of the match being treated as a friendly encounter.

"There's no such thing as a friendly game when you're playing for Nigeria," Simon declared during a pre-match press conference ahead of the final showdown at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford.

The Super Eagles secured their place in the final after defeating Ghana 2-1 in a keenly contested match against their West African rivals. Jamaica, meanwhile, earned their spot by overcoming Trinidad and Tobago 3-2 in their semifinal fixture.

Simon expressed his enthusiasm about participating in the tournament, stating: "I feel good. It's my first time playing in a tournament like this in the UK, and of course, we are prepared. We know what it takes."

Under the guidance of coach Eric Chelle, the Nigerian team has shown promising form throughout the competition. Following their victory over Ghana, Chelle notably praised the contributions of home-based players who have integrated well with the foreign-based contingent.

The Jamaican side is reportedly strengthening their squad for the final, with reports indicating they have drafted in a former Chelsea player to bolster their chances against the Super Eagles.

Nigerian football fans will be able to watch the Unity Cup final live on Saturday, May 30, with kickoff scheduled for 5 pm Nigerian time at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford, UK.
